Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP®) validates advanced knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks. Important information regarding CCSP and CCNP Security Certifications
On October 19, 2010, Learning@Cisco announced the evolution of the CCSP certification to CCNP Security. CCSP exams will remain available until April 2011 and individuals can still obtain a new CCSP certification until October 2011.

Individuals can recertify their existing CCSP certification by following the normal recertification process. In addition, CCSP certified individuals that have passed recognized CCNP Security exams may be eligible to receive their CCNP Security certification.
